The purpose of the Barber Instructor program is to provide teaching methods, learning principles, and professional growth opportunities for aspiring career educators. The program is designed to work effectively in an instructor-led environment, but can also be used in a mentor self-study environment. It takes the basic instructor to the next level and addresses principles more relevant to a seasoned educator or an individual who wants to pursue professional development. REQUIREMENTS: -23 Years old -High School Diploma/GED -Must have PA Barber License active for 5 years while working in a licensed shop for 5 years OR have a PA Barber Manager License and take Teacher Trainee Course (500 hours) at a licensed Barber School. -Must take Teacher State Board Test (Facial or Shave Demonstration and Lecture) INSTRUCTION METHODS: 1. Lecture 2. Demonstrations 3. Video 4. Practice on mannequins 5.
